New On-Line Training options for 2024 coming soon! Hoboken TEEN CERT Classes - 2022

We currently have no Teen Classes scheduled for 2022. Once we can conduct the in-person portion of our training we will announce dates. Please contact [email protected] for additional information and application forms. CERT Classes - Coming in October 2022.Participation in CERT requires the successful completion of a training course on a range of subject matter specific to emergency response and disaster relief. The training consists of classroom lectures and demonstrations as well as independent on-line training via FEMA courses.
All classes will be held at the Multi Service Center, 124 Grand Street starting at 8:00am sharp and concluding at 1:30pm. There will be a 1 hour lunch break between modules. The tentative training schedule for October 2022: Training takes place over two weekends - October 8th & 9th and October 15th & 16th Day 1 - Disaster Preparedness & Terrorism in CERT Day 2 - Disaster Medical Operations 1 & Disaster Medical Operations 2 Day 3 - Light Search and Rescue Operations & Fire Safety Day 4 - Disaster Psychology & CERT/ICS Organization The final drill and exercise location and date will be announced during the class. Participants must attend every module of training as well as participate in the final emergency simulation exercise in order to receive certification and participate as a fully trained CERT Team member. Upon completion of the training, each participant will be issued a CERT Member Emergency Kit. No prior experience is required. The training is free and open to anyone over the age of 18.
